A Cat's tail

The story is told by the heroine, Juno Cox, something of a fashionista and fitness fanatic. It is dedicated to her parents, her flatmates, and last but not least, her late brother, Hades Elliott, because, as she puts it, her tale would not have been told without him.

Juno Cox explains that the story is about “others I have lived with from time to time.” That reference and the reference to her late brother, Hades Elliott, has led to some readers asking me whether I had a brother called Hades who had passed away. This required an explanation, that Hades was Juno’s late brother, not mine – and that I, along with my wife Heather, were no more than observers, i.e., the flatmates referred to in the introduction.
